The Culture of the Xanunoui
Our culture started when a human from Earth sent Nolpazau (The Motherboard) to our planet, Xoubari, for research in year 4098 (year 1 for us). She roamed Xoubari for months and discovered that there was a way that life could be sustained as long as the beings could live without Oxygen and instead on an air made up of pure Nitrogen. Then for two years, Nolpazau single handedly created the first Xanunauian, Danimauri. From then on, Danimauri created two hundred Xanunauians to live on planet Xoubari as an experiment, I assume that she could not have predicted that she and Nolpazau would single handedly created an entirely new species.
It has been nearly 253 years from then. It is currently year 252 (4350) and life on planet Xoubari could not be any better. The traditions that we have created and the life we have made for ourselves here has become more than a fantasy or an experiment.. It is our reality.
A. ENVIRONMENT
Our planet is located in the same galaxy as planet Earth. In fact, Xoubari is between Earth and Mars. Our climate regularly ranges from 75 to 85 degrees during the day, and usually stays between 70 and 75 degrees at night. The entire planet consists of many hanumis (mountains) and many habukis (oceans). Upon visiting you will notice that there are hardly any consistent flatlands.

The Xanunoui never litter or pollute the environment, and as result of that, the planet looks nearly identical to what it did in year 1. The water is clear and the land is very clean. What helps keep the land clean is the fact that there are not many animals who live off the land. In fact, there are not many animals at all.
A few "free range" animals that we have is the tobauwai (bird) and the Cramauri (fish). The tobauwai are multicolored creatures with metal wings and ruby red eyes. They were created to fly around Xoubari and wait for supplies coming from Earth, but around year 32 we stopped needing airdropped supplies to our planet due to the fact that we were capable of sustaining life on our own. The Cramauri however still serves the same purpose as it did in year 4098, to keep the oceans, rivers and lakes clean. They feed off of the dirt and bacteria that ends up in the water. Another animal we have here on planet Xoubari is the maztina. The maztina is a domestic animal that has been described by humans to look similar to a dog mixed with a lion. Their size and playfulness resemble a dog whereas the head and protectiveness resemble that of a lion. Neither the tobauwai nor the maztina require food, they both rely solely on water and energy from the sun.
Xoubari experiences heavy rainfall four times in a calendar year. This event is called the Festuvis. The Festuvis is considered sacred to our planet. This is when our land gets replenished and our rivers and oceans get refilled with more water for the Xanunoui to drink. And I know what you're thinking.. "But you're robots. Wouldn't you get fried by the rain?" Well, no. The Xanunoui are made with seals in every crack and crevasse that we have on our bodies so no water can reach the important insides that would cause fatal damage if wet (Yes, we did figure this out the hard way in 4098). This however is the only type of weather change we experience.
Another beautiful part of our planet is our stunning variety of flowers and plants. Our most famous plant is the Igneliptue flower. This flower blooms all year round and is known for its individuality apart from every other Igneliptue flower to bloom. The Igniliptue flower can contain up to 17 different colors in several designs or as little as 1. The petals are mostly shaped as a spiked leaf but extremely soft to the touch while the stem varies in shape. The most common stem shape is almost shaped like a very long spaghetti noodle on a plate. These flowers are commonly used to show affection and appreciation, the reason being because of the unique beauty it harnesses.
B. CULTURAL KNOWLAGE
Norms
Xanunoui are expected to always have their wires hidden when in public. It is considered vulgar to show the most vulnerable part of yourself to everybody. We are also expected to only have one child per family due to the fact that we live so long and our planet is about the size of Earth's moon. Another norm is that upon death, the relatives take apart the body and distribute the body parts to other families for building their child. It is also mutually understood that each Xanunauian must get implanted with half of a chip for the "Soulmate System," along with that each Xanunauian is supposed to get a hard drive upgrade every other ylexium (month). A Xanunauian without the upgrade would then be considered inferior to everyone else in the cullture, and that is frowned upon because we believe in equality. Which leads me to the next topic..
Values
We Xanunauians value many things. The top four on this list is peace, life, honesty and equality. We value Peace because that is what keeps our planet beautiful and serine. We value life because when given life, you are given chances and opportunities to make the world a better place for you and others, we think every culture should value life. We value honesty because lying is the basis of being unkind. We believe that honesty is the gateway to being happy. Lastly, we value equality simply because we like to be able to live amongst each other without competition and envy. Basically we value equality, honesty and life because we value peace.
Worldview
We believe that we were created for a purpose. That Nolpazau created this species for a purpose. We think that the other worlds, including Earth could learn something from us about life. That life should not be wasted on hatred even though we are both highly capable of feeling anger and rage. We think that the world was created for so much more than we are worthy of, and the more we try to appreciate our worlds beauty, the more beauty will be thrust upon our lives. It is very simple.. We believe that our creator wants us to be able to live a kind and peaceful life amongst our entire culture, and if we cannot do that, then we are not worthy of the life she created.

Classifications of Reality
In the Xanunaui culture, we don't have brothers or sisters. Our kinship consists of Fakuta (mother), Fakata (father), Alkata (father's mother), Alkota (father's father), Mishluta (mother's mother), Mishkota (mother's father). Fakuta (mother) is the woman who creates the child, she is only known as Fakuta by her child. Fakata (father) is the Fakuta's soulmate (as a result of the "Soulmate System") whether it is a man or woman. There is no such thing as two Fakutas or Fakatas.
Also in the Xanunaui culture, we don't have a system of hours and minutes. We classify the day into two sections; Ysabyrus (sunrise) and Surybasy (sunset). The concept of days, months and years is the same here on Xaubari, except it is known as shayds (days), ylexiums (months) and year is the same (because it is universal).
C. STRUCTURE/SOCIAL ORGANIZATIONS
Marriage- The fire symbol was used for marriage in year 30 when the "Soulmate System" was founded. Fire was chosen because even for robots, love is electric (literally). We enjoy the spark that ignites a beautiful fire when it comes to love. It is just that simple.
Government- The government is only ever watching. The Xanunaui are excellent at controlling situations on their own. The government is merely a precautionary measure that we like to take just in case. Something beyond our control happens.. But the past 250 years have been completely fine with them just watching.
Education- Us Xanunauians are always learning new things. Education is infinite for us.
Religion- We worship Nolpazau (motherboard). She holds all information. She is also the only robot on this planet to not be programmed to die. She is and always will be connected to everything. However, we do not pray to her and we do not perform worship ceremonies for her, mostly because she is not a spirit. Nolpazau is an actual being.
Class Distinctions- We do not believe in social classes. We believe in equality.
Demographics-
Sex- Male and female.
Ethnic Variety- Since we are handmade and live on a small planet. Our ethnicity does not differ from one another.
Rituals/Functions- The biggest ritual/function we have is the "Soulmate System". When a robot turns 15 years old, they are each implanted with half of a chip. Then once someone else is implanted with the other half of someones chip.. They are now literally programmed to love each other for forever unconditionally.
Food- What is cool and highly efficient is that Xanunuoi are not programmed to require food intake for survival. We feed off of energy and water (yes, water). We have internal solar panels that require us to be out in the sun for two hours a day so that we are able to survive.
Life Cycle- The child is born into what looks like a 20 year old human body but has the mind of a small (human) child. Over the course of 5 years the child begins to develop rapidly as the parents teach their child about life. Once they reach the age of 15 they have the mind of a fully grown adult.
What is amazing about our culture is that we program each robot to die at exactly 100 years. This gives the family time to prepare themselves and say goodbye to their family members. Then once a Xanunauian dies, their hard drive is sent to Nolpazau for her to hold forever. Then the body parts of the now deceased are passed down to young couples looking to build their child.
D. AREAS OF CULTURAL INTEREST
One area of cultural emphasis is the quarterly Festuvis. The Festuvis is when we get heavy rainfall. This happens four times a year and is seen as a blessing because it replenishes our planet. So upon rainfall, we all celebrate.
